From Survivor to Leader: Amina's Journey

From Survivor to Leader: Amina's Journey
Amina was just 19 when conflict displaced her family from their home in rural Borno. With nothing but the clothes on her back, she arrived at an IDP camp in Maiduguri, unsure of what the future held. Through BOWDI's psychosocial support program, Amina found the strength to heal. She joined our vocational training program, learning tailoring and business skills. Today, Amina runs her own tailoring business, employs three other women, and serves as a community leader advocating for women's rights. "BOWDI didn't just give me skills," she says. "They gave me my voice back."
