Fatima grew up in a community where girls were rarely allowed to attend school. Her parents believed education was only for boys. When BOWDI came to her community with our girls' education program, everything changed. Through community sensitization and direct engagement with families, we helped Fatima's parents understand the value of educating their daughter. Today, Fatima is the first girl from her village to attend university. She dreams of becoming a doctor and returning to serve her community.
